What are we doing at this event?

We will be making and eating food together under the guidance of two Chumash Chefs. 

Who is hi ho' stoqošlóqʼ hi xus (Chumash Bear Circle)? 

They describe themselves as a local cultural group educating throughout unceded Chumash land on Chumash culture, ecological restoration, preservation, and hosting special events open to the public. 

What should I bring with me?

• Water

What should I expect?

• We will be indoors for this event.
• Dress comfortably and be ready to get bit messy in the kitchen!
• Before participating, you MUST sign a waiver.
• There are restrooms on-site.

Who is MiniNature Reserve?

MiniNature Reserve 501(c)(3) is a Gen Z-led native plant conservation and community garden nursery. Our mission is to re-establish native plants in the urban environment. We do events like workshops and educational visits for our community.

What is the age requirement for these classes?

Participants must be at least 18 years old in order to sign a waiver.

Participants under the age of 18 are welcome with the presence of their legal guardian/parent for the duration of the event.

Are there bathrooms at this event?

Yes, there are restrooms on-site.

¿Quién es hi ho' stoqošlóqʼ hi xus (Círculo del oso Chumash)? Se describen a sí mismos como un grupo cultural local que educa en toda la tierra Chumash no cedida sobre la cultura Chumash, la restauración y preservación ecológica y organiza eventos especiales abiertos al público.

¿Quién es MiniNature Reserve? MiniNature Reserve 501(c)(3) es un vivero comunitario y de conservación de plantas nativas dirigido por la Generación Z. Nuestra misión es restablecer plantas autóctonas en el entorno urbano. Realizamos eventos como talleres y visitas educativas para nuestra comunidad.
