Thank you to hi ho' stoqošlóqʼ hi xus for sharing their knowledge with us. Under their guidance, we learned how to make acorn tortillas, acorn hummus, and acorn mush. Thank you to @communityrootsoxnard for letting us harvest fruits and vegetables from the garden which paired so well with the acorn goodies! Thank you to all 24 students who showed up, eager to learn about acorns and Chumash Culture. Thank you to Ventura County Tree Coalition for inviting us to be a part of OakTober.
