Biography

Solimar Gutierrez, Director of Outreach, spearheads strategic partnerships, community relations, and events to promote awareness of MiniNature Reserve and increase participation. Prior to her role, she has led interpretation and translation services for MNR. She is a young yet experienced community organizer, having been involved with local and international initiatives for land access, dignified housing, anti-pesticide policy, COVID-19 relief, mutual aid, integrated education, and more.

As a California Climate Action Corps alum ('24), her expertise bridged her community of Saticoy to dignified food sources and sustainable agriculture practices. She is the sole bilingual trainer with the United States Green Building Council of CA, where she delivers certification classes on extreme heat, wildfire recovery, and overall climate resilience.

In her free time, Solimar makes beaded and sterling silver wire-wrapped jewelry at Creaciones x Solimar (@creacionesxsolimar).
