Two volunteers in orange safety vests kneel by a curb, wearing gloves as they plant a small seedling in a roadside bed with a trowel nearby.

The Problem

Losing Our Native Roots

Concrete is taking over, erasing native life and silencing our landscapes. Yet nature can return—together we can restore Ventura County’s native plants and reclaim the land.

Group of volunteers pose on a sunny hillside behind a mulched, newly planted garden bed bordered with yellow caution tape, holding a “Mini Nature Reserve” banner.
Our Mission

Greening Our Cities

We exist to restore and preserve nature and native plants in urban environments through landscape projects that engage, educate, and empower the local community.

A lush drift of native poppies and grasses spreads in front of a grand white civic building, suggesting nature reclaiming city spaces.
Our Vision

Cities in Bloom

We envision cities where native plants overthrow concrete, and communities—especially those long silenced—take back the land and power through climate action.

Native wildflowers—bright orange poppies and purple blooms—grow beside an agave in a small urban garden, set against a colorful nature mural.
Our Approach

The MiniNature Reserve

A MiniNature Reserve is a small pocket of nature within the city, designed to restore biodiversity where concrete dominates. These spaces provide habitat for native plants and pollinators, while offering communities a chance to reconnect with land and culture.

Who we are

A grassroots, Gen Z-led movement transforming urban spaces through native plant advocacy and community empowerment.
